The 5 Funniest & Most Entertaining Peloton Instructors Explained

There are a couple different ways to Peloton.

Some people gravitate toward the hardest instructors and classes to push their bodies to the absolute limit.

And others prefer to hop on the bike and have some fun with an instructor that can entertain and make them laugh.

Here’s a pro tip: Sometimes the funny, silly rides are the best and sneakiest way to get a PR! You’ll be so entertained you forget about how hard you’re pushing.

Either way, if you’re looking for a fun ride, the funniest and most entertaining Peloton instructors are (in no particular order):

  1. Cody Rigsby
  2. Jess King
  3. Denis Morton
  4. Matt Wilpers
  5. Kendall Toole

Let’s take a look at each one and what makes their classes so dang fun and entertaining.

Cody Rigsby

Style:

  • Silly themed playlists
  • Off the cuff jokes and rants
  • “Drinks with your bestie” vibes

Cody is the king of fun Peloton rides.

A lot of Peloton-ers have a love/hate relationship with him. Either they’re not into his brand of humor, or they’re completely obsessed with his rides.

Personally, I find them to be a lot of fun!

He’s always good for a fun and ridiculous playlist, like 90s boy bands, Black Eyed Peas deconstructed, and more.

He keeps his rides light and fun, cracking jokes the whole time with his signature sass.

Cody’s random rants (like how Toaster Strudels don’t have enough icing) are SO entertaining, you’ll completely forget you’re working out.

His rides aren’t the hardest, but Cody is good for a sneaky PR when you’re too caught up laughing to realize how hard you’re working out.

Jess King

Style:

  • Hilarious stories
  • Playful
  • Loves to dance

Jess King is another one — people either love her or avoid her.

But if you’re looking for a funny or entertaining Peloton instructor, you’re missing out if you don’t give her rides a try.

Jess is super playful during class. She dances along with the music, flirts with the camera, and in general just exudes a ton of personality.

She’s also famous for her hilarious stories. Where Cody is great with funny “bits,” Jess always has a funny story from her real life ready to share with class.

If you want to get out of your head and into your body during a fun workout, Jess is your girl.

Denis Morton

Style:

  • Dry humor
  • Storyteller
  • Low key vibes

If you want a fun and entertaining ride but aren’t up for the loud, in-your-face personalities of Jess and Cody, you might really enjoy Denis.

He’s a different kind of funny.

His rides are low key (though many are still challenging) and he’s a more subdued personality.

Like Jess, Denis loves to tell stories from his life, but they tend to be packed with his signature dry wit and even some unintentional humor!

He’ll get you laughing for sure, and before you know it, you’ll have finished an awesome workout.

Matt Wilpers

Style:

  • Storyteller
  • Sarcastic humor
  • Highly technical instructor

Matt Wilpers falls into a similar category as Denis.

He’s not flamboyant and in your face like Jess and Cody, but his rides are super entertaining.

He’s another great storyteller, though his humor is more of the biting, sarcastic breed than Denis’ dry wit.

Matt is also known as one of the most technically proficient instructors around — take his rides if you want to really improve your form and mastery of the bike for better Peloton results.

You might just crack up a few times along the way, too.

Kendall Toole

Style:

  • Playful nostalgia
  • Awesome high-energy playlists
  • Dancing and lots of rocking out

Kendall was a late add to this list, but I’ve been enjoying her rides more and more lately.

Don’t get me wrong, she is HARD — one of the most difficult instructors, hands down.

But Kendall’s rides and energy are infectious and addicting.

You’ll usually find her rocking a throwback, pop punk or emo playlist with lots of high energy tracks.

Sometimes she gets a little silly with playlists made up of Disney songs, movie soundtracks, and more!

And Kendall is a lot of fun on the bike. She loves to reminisce about the good old days and you’ll totally connect with her vibe if you grew up in the 90s and early 2000s.

Try her out — you’ll get an insane workout and you might just find her to be one of the most entertaining and hilarious instructors on the app.

For a more low key but still fun and enjoyable experience, try out Denis Morton and Matt Wilpers for a dry and sarcastic brand of humor that will keep you going through the workout.
