Does Fit4Less Have Showers? (Locker Rooms, Shampoo, Towels & More)

Fit4Less is one of the most popular gym chains in Canada — almost like a Planet Fitness of the north!

It’s affordable and has a good selection of equipment, along with 24/7 access.

But does Fit4Less skimp on amenities?

And most importantly: Does Fit4Less have showers?

Most Fit4Less locations do not offer showers. Rather, you’ll find an open row of lockers and private changing rooms or bathrooms. Some locations may offer showers, but it’s best to visit your local club to find out for sure.

Let’s take a closer look.

Does Fit4Less have showers?

Most Fit4Less locations do not have showers. A few select clubs do offer this amenity, but for the most part you won’t find any showers here.

Obviously, this is a big problem for commuters or anyone working out before work — you’ll need to rinse off to arrive at the office looking (and smelling) your best.

But there are other benefits to showering at the gym instead of waiting until you get home.

This study has found out that a quick shower immediately following a workout has a lactic acid that reduces sores in your muscles.

That means you’ll improve your recovery and be stronger when it’s time for your next workout.

So the fact that you can’t shower at many Fit4Less locations is a bit of a bummer.

These clubs do provide private bathrooms for changing, and some locations have full locker rooms with showers, but you’ll want to visit your local club to see the facilities before you join.

Does Fit4Less provide soap or shampoo?

Fit4Less doesn’t currently offer soap or shampoo, a temporary measure to provide the spread of germs and other illnesses in the shower area.

If your Fit4Less location is one of the few that does have showers, you’ll want to bring your own shampoo, conditioner, body wash, shower gel, etc.

It’s also a good idea to wear flip flops in the shower area at Fit4Less to prevent athlete’s foot and other skin issues.

Does Fit4Less provide towels for the shower area?

Fit4Less doesn’t provide towels for the shower area, and you’ll need to bring your own.

Keep in mind there’s a difference between shower towels and towels you might find on the gym floor.

Most gyms will offer smaller towels (or at least paper towels) for wiping down equipment before and after a set, especially nowadays.

But if you join Fit4Less, be prepared to bring your own full-size towel for showering — again, that’s IF your location offers showers.

Fit4Less Locker Room, Bathrooms & Changing Area Explained

Fit4Less is a budget-friendly gym that places a premium on space, keeping overhead down and amenities simple to provide an affordable experience.

So instead of the usual locker room, most Fit4Less locations offer something a little more stripped down.

You’ll usually find a bay of lockers toward the back of the gym. It’s not a separate locker room, but rather part of the gym floor.

Near the lockers, you’ll find a handful of private bathrooms and/or changing rooms, similar to what you might find at a clothing store.

You can change in here and wash up with the sink, but these rooms typically don’t include showers.

Some higher-end Fit4Less locations may offer bigger locker rooms and showers, but don’t count on it.

Wrapping Up

Fit4Less is a really great budget gym and compares favorably to Planet Fitness.

But the lack of showers definitely makes it less appealing to anyone who commutes or needs a shower directly after their workout.
